I have been reading all the negative feedback about lupron and feel compelled to post some POSITIVE feedback. After hearing about all the problems you ladies have had, I must believe that I was VERY lucky! I took lupron for 6 months (2 shots that lasted 3 months each) and it was THE BEST 6 MONTHS OF MY LIFE!!!!! I have suffered from cramping, abnormal periods and lower back pain from the very first time I had a period. I have tried just about every bcp you can take and nothing has worked. The lupron is the ONLY thing that has helped me. My only side effects were weight loss and hot flashes. I am a cold natured person so the hot flashes were nice because I was actually comfortable for a change. As for the weight loss, I was 125 lbs, so I really didn't need to loose weight, however at least I got to shop for new clothes. All my pain was gone while on the lupron. As soon as I stopped the lupron the endo symptoms came back. I recently moved and am seeing doctor #3 in my new town today (the 9th doctor since I started seeing gyno's). In less than a month I have played the "doctor hop" because no one wants to help, or my insurance doesn't cover their hospital. Hopefully I will schedule my first lyproscopic surgery for the next week or so.

I too have been told by 3 different doctors that I need to go ahead and have a child or have a hysto. I am 27, recently divorced and am trying to explain to my boyfriend that I am running out of time, but don't want to rush into another marriage. I am just at the end of my rope. I'm tired of being told by friends and family members to "suck it up and deal with it". These forums really help me feel better to know that I am not "imagining" my pain and that there are other people that feel the same way I do.

Thanks! Aimee
