Re: Lupron injection site infected...has this happened to anyone else?

Rosa,

I have never been told my injection site was infected or thought it was, but when I get my Lupron, it does stay red and warm for a couple days after the injection. The site where the shot was injected is usually extremely sore too. I just had a three month in August, and I literally limped for three days because the injection site was so painful. It didn't help that the nurse gave it too high and too far right on my hip, which resulted in the pain shooting into my joints and all down my leg. I am going to be sure she does the next one in the "meatier" part of my butt cheek! I have done Lupron once before and always react like this. I don't think I am getting an infection, but just reacting to the shot. It always subsides within a few days. One reason I now always get the three month version-less pain and hassle! Hang in there!

Hugs! Amy Meyer
