Re: Losing the will to liveFrom: Margie (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu Sep 30 14:46:30 2004
Hi there. I have been away for awhile as I have had my latest (#5) lap. What you describe is similar to the pain before I had lap #4. The pain in my abdomen was so bad that I used to blank out (my vision used to go momentarily). I would get all hot and sweaty and the pain would take over my body. I would get the sensation that I was going to pass out and would have to find a bathroom fast. The pains would come and go and I too, couldn't take it any more. I went to my endo surgeon and did my lap. I had endo all over, including the pararectal spaces and on the rectum. A few months after my lap, the pain was gone. This time, I had pain like before. I would no sooner feel constipated and when I would go to the bathroom, the initial bowel movement would be continued with an episode of diarrhea. Don't understand how that happens, but it does. This time, the endo was not so bad, though there was some in the pararectal spaces again. I am only 13 days post-op, so I am not sure how I will fare, but I keep my fingers crossed. In case you were wondering, I have never had a colonoscopy. All of this was due to the endo. Try to stay positive. I have been suffering almost 21 years. It can be too much sometimes, but there is always something to live for! Hope this helps.
