Re: Is there anything out there for sex drives?

I have heard the new P&G drug is supposed to be comparable to Viagra for men, but don't know anything else. I have recently seen some commercials for Avlimil, which is herbal and supposed to help with sex drive and libido. I have not tried it myself (I also have pretty much no sex drive) but did look it up on the Internet and it is kind of expensive. (6 months is $99 on the site I looked at-don't remember the link but just search for avlimil on Google or Yahoo). It also read that they recommend being on it for several months before you determine if is helping or not. I have considering asking my OB/Gyn what he thinks about it or if he has heard anything, but haven't had a chance yet. I'm sure there are probably other herbs that could help too. I am not against alternative meds, but am a little leery about them since they are not regulated, nor really studied.

If you think of it, post back on the forum after your Doctor's visit and let us know what he said or recommended. I am curious to see what the doctors recommend for this problem.

Hang in there! Hugs! Amy Meyer
