Dear Breanna: I have had three lupron shots in the past three months, once a month and noticed differences within a few days, positive rise in my energy level, feeling much better emotionally, but as far as the negative affects (hot flashes, night sweats, etc) I was actually having worse hot flashes before I got the lupron shot then after and the night sweats that I was having before the lupron shot have stopped. I have polycystic ovarian syndrome and was having great difficulties before the shot, but have felt a lot better since I started getting the shot. I think it really depends on each woman too, because a friend of mine had uterine fibroids and endometriosis and she felt worse after the shot. I have been writing in a journal now for several years and have found it effective to journal any side effects, good or bad, that I may have during this time, before and after the lupron shot and that way you can see for yourself what differences there have been and if it is something you want to continue. Sincerely
-- Gwen
