Re: Should I tell Dr. what I want??From: Amy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue Sep 21 10:38:44 2004
Christy, It's not unusual to be put on BCP's for pain. My cousin was put on BCPs for bad cramps (endo runs strong in our family) when she was 13... well before she was sexually active. Talk to your doctor - tell him what you think would help - he may agree and he may not, but you still need to talk to him. Think of it this way - with as much as you (or your insurance company) pays for the visit, get your money's worth and ask all the questions you want. And even if he was a complete moron and he DID think that you were cheating on your husband - who cares! As long as you and your husband are okay, that's all that matters. As for looking like a druggie... if you're in pain - that's what pain meds are for. - Amy
