Re: Bleeding inbetween periodsFrom: Amy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue Sep 21 08:16:52 2004
I have experienced break through bleeding as well. IF you take birth control, it can mean that you need to change pills. Even after switching pills, I find myself bleeding at strange times in my cycle and just attribute it to endo. I have talked it with my Doc on several occasions and he says that with endo you can "expect the unexpected". Not the greatest answer but for me, there is nothing else going on to explain it. There are times when I will stand up after sitting or laying down for awhile and feel a gush of blood come out. Other times, I will bleed after exercise or sex or for no apparent reason at all. Many times the blood is bright red so I know it is fresh. This always alarms me more than if it is a brown color. I would definitely talk to your Doctor about it and see what they say. There could be many reasons this is happening so you really should get checked out. It may be nothing and related to endo, but there could also be something else going on, so better safe than sorry. Hope things get better for you! Hang in there....We are here for you! Hugs! Amy
