has anyone experienced this???From: Jess (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu Sep 16 09:24:16 2004
I was diagnosed with endo. last year (Oct. 2003) after having laporscopy surgery. It was only in phase I but it covered all my pelvic some intestines, and my uterus. I have always had severe pain and was put on birth control at an early age 14. Since the surgery I was put on double shots of depo provera for three months straight. December 2003 was my last shot. I got married and my husband and I decided to try and have kids. I started having a period again in March and bleed continously until May. Than for some reason it stopped. No period at all. The pain continued to worsen. I visited my doctor and he decided to put me on provera to try and start my period. I did that for two months and nothing happened except my pain worsened. I went to see my doctor again and he decided the past option right now was to have surgery again. I had another laporscopy done. This surgery reveled that I had a cyst on my right ovary and that the endo. had spread again and now had worsened it was now on my stomach ligaments also and that is why i had so much pain. Which my doctor had informed me this is rare since endo is suppose to grow when you have a period and I haven't. He said that it is growing faster. after the surgery the doctor has put me on clomid. Which is horrible. It made the pain intensify. I am taking pain killers everyday but it doesn't seem to be working. I had another blood test done and it shows that after using the clomid I still have not ovulating. So starting today I am going back on provera to try and start my period. Which by now I feel will never come. I am bloated, emotional, and in pain everyday. Does anyone have any advise? Is there other treatments out there to help? I have bought some books lately and said something about nutrition and other alternatives to help with the pain. Do they work? Thank you for your time in reading this,
-- Jess
