Re: Lupron Wearing Off

I am one month into a second course of Lupron now, but after my first, it did take me about 6-8 weeks to feel "normal" (if there is such a state with endo!). I started a period right on time, but I also went immediately back on my birth control. Doc told me it can take several months for your period to return and the shot to wear completely off. I felt crampier than usual too but that got better after the first period. The hot flashes and night sweats eventually tapered off. I think your sex drive will return too, provided it was OK prior to the shots. The first time I did Lupron it turned my drive completely off! (what a fun honeymoon I had! ha ha) This time, I have more of a sex drive. The second time of taking it has seemed much easier than the first, so I am hoping I come off of it even easier too. Hang in there! I think you will see improvements each day.

Hugs! Amy
