Re: anyone have experience dealing with cysts on both ovaries andFrom: margaret (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri Sep 10 15:28:07 2004
When I was 15 is when the doctors finally discovered that my pain and missed periods were caused by ovarian cysts. I have had them in both ovaries, but normally they are on my right side. I had my first lap to remove them when I was 17 because I had two abnormal ones and when they went in they discovered I also had a large and luckily benign tumor. I know they hurt, especially when they rupture and I would miss periods for mths and once even an entire yr. The only thing they could do for me was put me on birth control pills, which never helped. I still have them and they discovered the endo at age 19 so I am dealing with both now. I am now 25 and I have unfortunately had to learn to live with them which is a pain in the butt. I pray for you and hope you find some relief and one day will beable to have children. I have been unable to concieve, but that in no way means you will be unable too. You are very young and I am sorry you are having to deal with all this, but wanted you to know you aren't alone. Keep your strength and God will guide you in the right direction. Take care and God bless you and all you do. margaret
