Re: bowel symptomsFrom: Amy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri Sep 3 09:17:55 2004
I have bowel symptoms too. I know I have endo on my bowel, as it is always found during my laps. I also went through colonoscopy to be sure nothing else was causing the pain and all was well, so we know it is the endo. All three of my laps have found my bowel adhered to my uterus. Doc always frees it up and then I feel better for awhile, until the endo comes back again. For me, it is especially painful to have a bowel movement while on my period. I also have rectal pain if I sit in a chair for too long or ride in the car for a long time. There has been times when I have sat for a long time and then end up spotting and bleeding heavy, always fresh blood because it is red. Also, sometimes if I have to strain to have a bowel movement (sorry if that is too much info!), I will bleed from my vagina, bright red blood. Also have lots of loose stools or diarrhea. Right now, I feel good and have no rectal pain, but I just had a lap in June where the doc freed it up, and then I followed lap with Lupron. Hang in there and know you are not alone! I have found that a hot bath helps, as well as actually sitting on a heating pad. Hugs! Amy
