Medications like Neurontin are being tried for chronic pain since they sometimes can bring relief. My sister took Neurontin for leg pain related to a past Lyme disease infection and it worked well. She said that the only side effect she noticed was slight weight gain.. Nothing else negative happened while she took it. Her pain stopped so eventually she stopped the medication. My dad had to take Tegretol for seizures and he said that he felt like a zombie on it. Maybe your doctor would try the Neurontin if the Tegretol is making you feel bad. Good luck....
