>I agree! I am so sick of hearing about this!<

Wow. Bitch much? Nice attitude for a SUPPORT forum. Word to the wise: read subject headers and decide what you want to read FIRST.

>If you are such a strong opponent of Lupron, then don't do it yourself but let everyone else make their own decisions!<

Yep. Let them make their own decision. AFTER they have ALL the information available to them - good and bad. I never cease to be amazed at the sheer hostility that erupts from pro-Lupron users against those who have the "nerve" to share their bad experiences. Like those experiences aren't real and it's a personal affront to people like you who think Lupron is peachy. As if.

>>I've done it several times and have never had anything other than what the doctor told me to expect, and 6 years after taking it the first time, still have no long term side effects.<<

Lucky you! And that makes someone else's horrid trauma as a result of Lupron any less relevent...how, exactly?

WHY SHOULD THE INJURED BE SILENCED???

>It may not be for everyone but the terror you are making some women feel is
>getting ridiculous!>>

Yes, I remember the terror I felt after I read my first negative Lupron experience post. I had to attend therapy sessions to deal with the post traumatic stress. Get real, please.

>>We all come here for SUPPORT, not to be terrorized
>and paranoid.<<

Nor does anyone come here to be SILENCED, badgered, belittled, invalidated or condescended to - much as you are doing right now by your posting.

>>I let all the negative things stop me from trying it for
>several years.<<

Don't you feel silly now? Why didn't you practice what you're obviously so good at PREACHING?

>Then I decided to do it since everyone will react
>different. (Yes, I finally grew up and let myself make a decision
>instead of being influenced by others who believe too much about what
>they read.)<<

Gosh, I hope NO ONE is influenced into taking a drug based on your sales pitching and hostility towards those who don't like the drug!

>>It has been my miracle drug and given me my life back!<<

Clearly it took your personality, however. Or have you always been a nasty bitch who cares about no one but yourself?

>
>As said below: How long are they taking it? It is definitely not
>recommended for more than six months, yet many of the complainers state
>they have been on it for a year or more! Duh! What do you expect?<<

Hey - before you get around to practicing medicine and offering advice on the Internet, check your facts. Lupron IS approved for MORE than 6 mons., with addback therapy. And it is also a FACT that it is perfectly legal and acceptable, although lacks ethics, to use Lupron in a patient in an off-label manner, which means for more than year.

>Even
>when used for prostrate cancer<<

What is prostrate cancer? Is that where you have cancer that makes you lay down flat? I only know about Lupron usage in prosTATE cancer.

<Do you not know that natural >menopause causes many of the long term effects that you read about
>Lupron?

Do you not know that surgical, medical and natural menopause are all completely different in terms of side effects, feelings, etc. etc.? Or have you experienced all 3 and can speak as an expert on the topic, much as you can on Lupron?

>
>I don't support or oppose Lupron for EVERYONE ELSE but support myself in
>taking it and do not try to push it on anyone.<<

You did nothing in your post but bash those who might want (gasp!) ALL information about a treatment and who might decide that the effects have been so bad for so many others than they don't want it.

But if the situation was >different, I would also keep my mouth shut and let each woman decide for
>HERSELF!
>

Ahh...the first part of your post I agree with. You should keep your mouth shut.

>>What pi**es me off so bad is not that I think everyone
>should do it, but that there are some people who are so opinionated that
>they think everyone else should follow their lead!
>

Pot, kettle, black. You know the saying.

Everyone with positive Lupron stories, speak up! Share the joy. Those of you who are living in agony every single day as a result, keep your mouths shut. You're not allowed to share those stories here. This forum is only for the positive posts, folks.

GROW UP AND GET REAL - the Lupron Victims will NOT be silenced and they WILL continue to share their stories until EVERYONE has heard. Only when a person has ALL the information necessary can they make an educated decision about a treatment! "Positives only" is as ignorant as your post.
