You definitely did not do anything wrong and should pat yourself on the back for not getting intimidated and for sticking up for yourself! Sounds like he doesn't like someone being more educated than himself, which is so common with doctors and endo. I think those of us that suffer with it know more than most of them! I think that is a big blow to those egos, especially if they are male! Do what you need to do and see if you can find a better doctor. I had one who kept telling me that I should get pregnant to cure my endo. This after my hubby and I had repeatedly told him we are not interested in having children. Plus, if he knew anything, he would know there is no cure for endo, especially pregnancy! I finally gave him the boot and found a wonderful new Doc who listens and really cares. Do not let him make you feel like you were wrong. I say: You go girl!!!
