Re: lupron and menstrual cycle

I tend to feel worse for the first couple weeks after a shot, and within one week of getting it, I always have a very nasty period, worse than usual. Then things taper off and I am fine other than a few hot flashes and night sweats. If you are going to stay on it, you might consider the three month injection. I do it this way now and find that it is much easier for my body. I don't repeatedly go through those first couple bad weeks every month. With a three month, I only need to get a total of two shots, so not as much suffering. Also, just make sure you are getting your shots on time so the medicine doesn't have a chance to work completely out of your body before you get another injection. The key is to keep a steady stream of it in your system so those initial side effects aren't so noticeable. Hope this helps!
