Re: 1st Lap negative, what now?

There are a couple of us here that are in the same boat. I had my lap in the beginning of June and my OBGYN didn't see any endo. I did have one adhesion that ran from the tip of my appendix to the other side of my abdomen, and he also said my uterus and tubes looked red and irritated. He thought maybe I had some kind of low grade, chronic infection and put me on a course of Doxycycline. Having the surgery and taking the antibiotics did nothing. I am still convinced I have endo. My pain is totally related to my cycle and went away during my recent pregnancy. I found an endo specialist in my area and have an appt tomorrow. I will be scheduling a 2nd opinion lap sometime in the next month or two. I would suggest you do the same. The specialist I found actually runs an infertility clinic so you may want to see if there are any in your area. Endo is one of the main causes of female infertility so most infertility clinics do deal with endo. From what I have read, it's not uncommon for OBGYN's to miss endo since they don't deal with it much. It has many different appearances and locations also.

Good luck to you and I hope we both find answers to the pain very soon!!
