Re: Could this be Endo?

Hi Jean. I will be having laparoscopic surgery for extensive abdominal adhesions on September 8 that I believe will end up being endometriosis related. I had laprascopic gall bladder surgery last month and told that surgeon to photograph the lower abdomen for my GYN. My uterus is actually completely fixed to the front of my abdomen and I have multiple adhesions connecting everything. Unfortunately, the gall bladder surgeon did not get close enough pix to see if this was operative adhesions or if this was endo. I know exactly how you feel with the fever and swelling. I have had every GI test done and I have been sent away more frustrated than ever. During my colonoscopy in June, the GI Dr. actually punctured my colon, didnt tell me, sent me home where I began bleeding and had to be taken by ambulance to the hospital. I stayed 3 days. The Dr, told me it was adhesions that caused my colon to be fixed and it tore trying to get the camera through. It was great to be told so much later than the procedure. I am figuring that when the GYN gets in there he is going to be able to see what is going on with my colon as well. I am also having a second surgeon present to take care of any adhesions/endo that may be on the other organs. I have had low grade fevers with abdominal pain since the beginning of last winter. I was convinced it had to be Crohn,s. I have had anemia, potassium deficiency, calcium deficiency, high and low white and red cell counts among a million other weird test results. My bowels are unpredictable and I feel sick just having to go sometimes with shakes and chills and tremors. I seem to get a migraine a few days before my period and all of the gastro problems get unbearable. I am guessing that maybe the fever is caused by all the blood collecting in the endo cells and causing inflammation. I really hope this lap gives me the answers I need. If you find anything else out about your situation, I would love to know. Good luck to you as well.
