Hi Amy, thanks so much for your support, it is really helpful to know
someone else is going through the same awful stuff. I hope that the
lupron is helpful to you and you find some comfort in this difficult
time.
I have talked to a few women who have had hysterectomies and they say
that it helped deal with the pain and they have gone from strength to
strenth since. However, they have all had children and I haven't.
My family are all pushing me to have this hysterectomy and think I
should have had one instead of an excision surgery three months ago. A
relative who is pushing me to have this surgery also spent the night
crying because she won't be getting any grandchildren (if I have this
surgery). She also thought that if I had a baby it would be deformed
because of all the drug treatments and painkillers I have been taking.
Sometimes family who try to be helpful are less than helpful. I am
going to talk to a counsellor (who specialises in this area) before I
make up my mind, and do some more research.
