Re: Need help with information about Depro Lupron/ProveraFrom: NIKKIE (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed Aug 18 13:19:12 2004
Francesca, i also have had numerous laposcopies but mine did help with the pain for a little while. i ahve just had my 2nd Lupron shot. I did not get my period this month and will not get it while i am taking these injections for 6 months. I do suffer from side effects. But the pain is not so severe. the only thing it did not help with is the pain in my bladder. i want to have children some day and i am 32. so taking the lupron injections will buy me some time. At this point it was either the lupron or the hystercotomy.i choose the lupron. i have been told by other people that they the luprom shot will be worth it in the long run.do i have any positive experience with endo absolutly no. I will not lie it has been hell for me. but i have to give this Lupron treatment a chance. I wish you the luck on what you decide. each person is differnet and some suffer from side effects from the drugs and some don't. I had 2 cysts removed (one on each ovary)using Laparoscopy; however, the pain came back. I chose the shot. I took it for 2 months and decided to stop because I wasn't sleeping, I had hot flashes 4 to 5 times a day that would last only 5 minutes or so but they were intense. I also gained weight, but I didn't have anymore pain or a period. I have now been off of the shot for 3 months and still have not gotten my period back. I am wondering how long until your period comes back? Anyone know? >
