FRUSTRATED!!From: Amy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue Aug 17 12:06:55 2004
I had an MRI last week and just got the results today...NOTHING. What a surprise! I am so frustrated by this whole thing. Everytime there is an idea of this or that they find nothing that should be causing me pain. No new adhesions, no cysts, nothing. I have had endo for 11 years and it is worse now than it has ever been. I am tired of the pills. Pills to sleep, pills for pain, other bills for pain, BCP, pills for headaches, pills for depression. DOES IT EVER END!!!! I keep thinking that if I had a disease that required a positive state of mind for recovery that I would be a goner. Besides the endo, I am having alot of maritial problems. Besides being moved away from my entire family several months ago, my husband traveling for work all the time, and not knowing anyone where we live, I am tired of the misunderstanding of my emotions and his being frustrated with me not feeling well, being sad, or in pain. HOW DOES HE THINK I FEEL!!!! My husband is one of those men that thinks that if there is a problem then there is a solution. NOT WITH THIS BUDDY! After reading other's messages, how does a hysterectomy sound like a solution when some still have pain afterwards!? My doctor's latest is to go on Lupron for 3-6 months, with BCP to reduce hot flashes OR a hysterectomy to stop the pain from the 'increased activity' of my uterus. I have a friend on Lupron and while it may be a temporary fix, what hell you go through while you are on it. Do men run these drug companies find these "cures" for us with the absolute most terrible side effects that they can find?!!! Good grief! Anyone out there feeling the same or have any advice that you think may help me. I am about to lose my mind! Sorry to vent but I just need to hear that someone else is feeling this way.
