I had lap surgury in 1996 to clear way first stages of endometriosis. Most pain disspareared after the op, and although I had pain during my periods, it was nowhere near as painful as before the op. This year (ie 8 years on) I have had increasing amount of pain again, and have been put on norethisterone for 6 months, all currently pain free, and 3 months until I come off the tabs. Am looking forward to seeing if the pain will stay away once I come off the tabs . .So the good news is, life can be good afer the operation !
