Should I op for a lap?From: anonymous@obgyn.netMon Aug 16 00:56:25 2004
I have PCOS but for the past year I have been having bad cramps even when not on period and have had very bad deep pelvic pain during intercourse. I went to my obgyn and he was able to replicate the pain and thought I had a cyst on my left ovary. Two ultrasound showed nothing except that my left ovary is attatched to my abdominal wall. I asked if the pain could be from anything else and he said it could possibly be a bowel problem, endometriosis, or adhesions. I went to gastro and had a colonoscopy done and nothing was wrong except he said I have some weird turns in my colon that is probably caused by scar tissue from my gallbladder removal. That would explain my pain on my right side but not the excruciating pain on the left that my doc was able to reproduce. I am now wondering if I should go back to my gyno and talk about having a lap done to test for endo or adhesions. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
