Re: Advice on progesterone creme

I think it is a wonderful idea to test have your hormones tested 1st. Remember estrogen causes endo to grow, so the point of the cream is to oppose it with progesterone.

Since I see a naturopathic dr. it is different than an MD. so I have no idea about the medical hormone tests. I hear from the naturopath that the saliva hormone tests are most effective, so you may want to ask about that also.

In the meantime, I suggest reading up on it so you can discuss it with your Dr. but do not be surprised if he disagrees & says that it could not possibly work. Here is some info on it & also an article on estrogen dominance, which wrecks havoc on our systems, that article has some info on it about the cream, but a lot more info also about how our hormones get out of balance. sorry I did not just answer the question, but I thought it best that you do some research to understand a little about it 1st.

Let us know how it goes ok & what your Dr. says about it. Perhaps you can write down your questions & understanding of it all and have a great discussion with your Dr! Here are the sites: http://www.lammd.com/A3R_brief_in_doc_format/Estrogen_Dominance.cfm
