Re: Endometriosis Advice

Everyone is different so it is hard to tell you what to do. Nothing, including hysto, is a cure for endo. If you have not had a lap, how were you diagnosed? Lap is the only way to diagnose it for sure. If it were me, I would try a lap first. Many women get relief for years just by having the endo excised through lap. Plus having a lap will allow the doctor to see how things look, where the endo is, etc. It depends on your situation I guess. I have had 3 laps, just started a second course of Lupron, and have tried every kind of birth control possible, including taking them continuously. Each method helps for awhile and then the pain returns. I have decided to go for total hysto when the pain returns again, but am hoping my latest lap and Lupron will at least buy me a few more years. Good luck in whatever you decide. I sure wish there was a sure fire answer and cure!

Hugs! Amy
