Anyone been told 'it's in your head'??

I have battled endo. for six years now. I have had nine surgeries including two post complete hysterectomy. I am experiencing chronic pain that is all too familiar. I went to my dr. about 1 1/2 years ago w/ servere pain and he told me it was in my head (something similar to post tramatic stress)well the pain continued, so I tried again. I begged him to do surgery just to look. It end up that my appendix was infected all the way through due to the endo.!!! Well now there is pain again and I need to go back but I'm afraid that he will once again tell me it's in my head (there's nothing in you)But I know my body and what it tells me. Any advise??? I know I caould go to another dr. but I've tried that and it takes months to get anywhere because either they don't believe me, have to wait to see records, or think that it's in my head!! I'm frustrated, in pain, and I can't sleep. Any advise???
