Endo Frustration..From: Amy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun Aug 8 13:19:07 2004
Diagnosed in 1992. Laproscopies in Jan 1993, April 2001 and June 2004. Several cysts that have ruptured with no permenant damage. My current Dr is a reproductive endocrinologist who specializes in endometriosis. Medicinal treatment has consisted of Depo or birth controls pills. After my first two surgeries I felt great. Since this last one, in which I had my left fallopian tube removed, I have felt absolutely awful. My pain consists of a dull ache right above my pubic bone and sharp, stabbing pains about 85% of the time on the right side near my ovary with occational sharp pains on the left in the same location. At 4 weeks post-op, I had an ultrasound done to look for problems. Everything looked okay in ovaries and uterus. I was put on a 800mg motrin 3x/day for two weeks and told that if thinkgs didn't improve they would need to go back in to see what's going on. Well, I have still have pain on the motrin, been supplementing that with tylox, and am at my wits end. Tomorrow I will call the doctor since my two weeks are up and let her know that the meds aren't working. ANY IDEAS??? Please let me know what you think. Besides not feeling well, I am getting very depressed about it. THANKS!!!
