has anyone taken bextraFrom: michelle (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri Jul 30 15:41:59 2004
Hi all I have enjoyed reading everyones bout with endo It is very comforting to know I am not alone. I was diagnosed with endo in 1996 via lap after I finally changed gyno's because my old one just kept dismissing my pain. After the lap I went on 6 months of the dredded L word (yed Lupron) after Lupron I went straight to Micronor and was on them until almost 2 years ago when my husband and I tried to have a baby. Unfortunalty no baby yet and in 3 weeks I am going in for what I call my "complete over haul". I am having a hysteroscopy, D&C, another lap and my tubes flushed. My endo symptons have been running rampid for about the past 6 months and last Friday the discovered a fibroid in my uterus. I have been in so much pain here lately due to the endo and fibroid I feel like giving up the pain has taken over my life. I was on Motrin 800mg every 8 hours with 1-2 Ultram at the 4 hour mark around the clock until yesterday my gyno gave me a new pain med called Bextra. Just wondering if anyone else has taken it and if so how did it do? Please let me know. Wishing everyone pain free days and nights, Michelle
