Re: Has anyone else been told to do this?

My doctor just put me on the pill continuously as well but I am only going to take in for 3 months in a row, where I will have my period 4 times a year instead of 13. It is the same concept as the new seasonale pill and the depo shot as well. Yes your body will need to adjust but I personaly would not recommend going too long without your period. It makes sense to me that if you do go too long your body will have a more adverse reaction. I am not a medical professional, just someone has done a lot of research on trying to get rid of my cramps. What kind of pill are you on? Different hormones as well as different hormone levels will respond differently. I am on Mircette which is an estrogen/progesterone pill at a low hormone level that stays the same throughout the entire 21 days of active pilland when I have my period most pills are just a placebo pills, but with the Mircette there ore 2 placebo following 5 very low dose estrogen pills to help reduce estrogen related side effects. I have taken the tri level pills and they are no good for me. They made my cramps much worse because of the ever changing levels. Just some food for thought. Good Luck.
