Re: urgent.....period while on orthocyclen?? is this ok/possible???From: anonymous@obgyn.netFri Jul 30 13:47:35 2004
I have been taking ortho-cyclen for over a year and every month like clockwork I have a period, with painful cramps and the whole deal. However.... As with any pill you need to NOT take the green pills (yes they are the placebo) and just continue to take the white pills from the following pack. If you have heard of the new seasonal pill, it is the same concept. You can choose weather or not to have your period. I have just started this and am choosing to have my period only 4 times a year (every 3 months). It is also the same idea as the Depo shot where you get the shot every 3 months and that is when you have your period. So basically to not have your period on the ortho-cyclen just go from one pack to the next and skip the green pills. Hope this helps.
