Re: chronic candida...any tests to tell if it's from the intestine?

HI!

Well, all I can say is I wish I had the answers too! I have the SAME chronic yeast that is just indestructable. As I've mentioned previously, my current infection has been around 3 months. WITH TREATMENT/ drugs/ yogurt/ acidophilis, etc... It's awful. And after sex the burning is SO BAD. That's how I know I still have one. My boyfriend is totally clean, tested for everything under the sun including yeast just to make sure.

I just don't know. I've started this new diet to see if that works. My doc has me cutting out alcohol, coffee, sugar, carbs, etc. I'm sure you've read my frustrated emails in the past :) I don't know if intestinal yeast is connecte, but I know that if it is truely systemic it's a bi#$h...

One huge thing though, a moldy appt is VERY bad for you, especially for your resp. system. Yeast/ candida, I have no clue. But, I would call your landlord and/or report it to someone. Try using baking soda or baby powder on your carpets, let the dampness soak up, and then I would hire or rent a steam cleaner and get that junk out of there. Also, I would beg to have it repainted if there is mold on the walls anywhere. They MUST use KILLS primer. that's just about the ONLY thing that will guarantee to rid you of the mold on your walls. I have asthma as well and became VERY ill when I moved into an appt w/ mold on the ceiling. We had to paint w/ kills to get rid of it. You can become very sick from certain molds.

Good luck, and keep me posted if you discover any tricks!
