Yeast infections had been a MAJOR problem(20 yrs.) for me also. After sex, I always would take a shower or a problem again the next day. Since seeing a naturopathic Dr.- their really was no need for me to have a test done, since it was pretty obvious that their was a problem. I am not an expert but always read it was also a disruption of the good gut flora in the stomach-we need the good bugs in our stomach & medication can disrupt this. (Hey Girls(smile) I still still use medication for some ailments...) My Dr. gave me acidophillis for 2 months & no problems ever since. Their is a diet for it-lots of vegetables, no alcohol, no sugar(this will also help the endo)...a suggested book that explains more is: Endometriosis-keys to healing thru nutrition. http://www.endometriosisassn.org/cart_book.html I would look up the info for you, but I gave it to my neighbor. It explains the yeast connection & how to treat it, among other things... My neighbor said that they scraped her tongue at the medical Drs. to test for it with no findings- but then found yeast in her stool, but did not mention any problems with that? She is seeing another Dr. Hope this helps a little. Lori http://www.theendoclub.com
