Re: Lupron

I too have been reading this discussion and felt compelled to respond.
While I am not taking sides with anyone, I do know that the scary things
I read on the Net kept me from trying Lupron for almost three years.
Finally gave in to trying it when I just didn't know what to do anymore
and it helped me so much! In fact, I am getting ready to do it again as
soon as the insurance approval comes through. I know I am lucky that I
seem to handle it well, besides the normal side effects like hot flashes
and night sweats. For me, I am willing to risk some side effects to get
ANY relief from this dreadful disease, even if I know the relief will
not last forever.
I think we should all be free to post our opinions, since this is what
the forum is for, but I think we should remember that these are just
opinions and that we are all very different. Thanks Jennifer for
speaking up, but thank you too, to all the others who gave their
opinions as well. I definitely would not push Lupron on anyone but at
the same time, I think it helps to hear positive stories about it too.
It isn't for everyone but for some of us it has helped tremendously. I
am glad to hear that many of you have found relief with natural remedies
too. Let's just all stick together and maybe we can beat this darned
disease!
Hugs to all!!
Amy
