Re: Medication or Hysterectomy/Need AdviceFrom: ayda (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed Jul 28 08:24:07 2004
Hi Chris, It was only at the beginning of the year I was where you are now. I was so ill, tired and I felt like I had no quality of life. I have a 10 year old and she also got quiet fed up of me being ill all the time. Last year I was on Zoladex for 6 months and that was HELL! At the beginning of the year I was asked to decided if I wanted to go ahead with a hysterectomy. It was very emotional and begin ill the way I was it has had a psycholical effect on me. I did some extensive research and there was side effects, pro's and con's. I was not satisfied with the information and reserch. Anyway the surgery happened, but the hysterectomy didn't. I am now pleased about it. As we know there is no cure for endo. I soon began to feel very tired and started to experience pain during my periods. A friend suggested I start taking vitamins. So thought, well I have gone done the road of alternative therapy, did that for over a year, gone through extensive surgery, what the heck let's give this ago and so I did. I can't begin to explain to you the difference it has made. I no longer experience painful periods and I am not tired, I have more energy. I eat healthy and exercise. I also have a postive outlook about it all as I now see light at the end of the tunnel. The product of these vitamins is called Mannatech. In fact I went to a presentation this evening where a Dr Steve Nugent talked about our bodies and health. Check their website. http://www.mannatech.com My email address is ayda.sabri@ozonline.com.au and I will be happy to answer any questions. I started to see results after over 2 months. The first 2 months the body goes through a detoxt period. Give it a go. Once you have a hysterectomy you can't reverse it. As for those drugs, with 5 children you will go crazy. The hormones are not quite the same with those drugs. Be kind to yourself and I promise there is light at the end of the tunnel. Regards,
