My hope for you is that you have the same side effects as I have had which is hardly nothing. I bled for the first 3 weeks (so if you are that is normal and it should stop). Then the hot flashes started and were pretty heavy, mainly at nihgt for a couple months. After the third shot they slowed way down. I have two shots left to go. I did the one a mo for 6 mo. I too want children very badly! If you do get hot flashes try evening primrose oil and take them as directed. Also, get yourself a rice bag and throw it in the freezer and take it to bed with you. That helped me a lot. I was and continue to be pain free and like I said aside from the hot flashes I had no other side effects. Also make sure you take 1,000-1,500 mg of calcium daily, there will be minimal bone loss but my dr told me I'm young and relatively healthy so it should almost completly restore itself. I am using protection since I have a blood clotting disorder and should I get pregnant it has to be treated right away or I will miscarry and since you don't have a period I would never know. My dr. said there are no known side effects from getting pregnant on lupron but my theory is why risk it. Hope this helps and I hope again that it works for you like it has for me!!
