Re: Link between synthroid and worsening symptoms

Your story sounds similar to mine. My sister also developed Hashimoto's aftering having 2 kids--I also did not develop the symptoms until about 2 years after my son was born. I don't know if my sister had endo--if she does she's never had symptoms. One other sister does have symptoms but they're not bad enough for her to pursue diagnosis or therapy. She may or may not have it.

I agree that thyroid supplements shouldn't make symptoms worse but was just wondering if anyone had noticed a correlation. I was just trying to figure out why my symptoms seem worse recently. I am in perimenopause and someone else suggested that that is why this thing hurts more now. I haven't menstruated since April and it feels like I have much more pelvic pressure and symptoms. The other writer suggested that the endometriosis is being stimulated by unopposed estrogen and is just kind of sitting in there pressing on everything. It will be interesting to see if my symptoms improve if and when I get my next period. Take care.
