Hi everyone!

I had a great experience with Dr. Redwine and completely agree with his technique. Although I am have having problems (3 years later) in new locations much higher up in the abdominal cavity, the areas he removed endo from are still completely pain free. I was in bad shape and I had endo everywhere (bowels, bladder, pelvic floor, ureters, uterus, ovaries, etc,). I had laser surgery first and it did not work for me. Dr. Redwine's technique did however give me the relief I needed. The people who I have spoken to who have not done well after his surgery seem to be those who have had mutiple surgeries and are dealing with lots of scar tissue from so many surgeries. I was fortunate enough to see him after only one surgery.

It is unfortunate that he does not take insurance. It was explained to me by my current doctor (who assisted a few surgeries with him) that it is unfortunate that insurance companies pay so little to our doctors for this surgery; therefore, since this is all Dr. Redwine does, he cannot accept insurance. They were very willing to bill my insurance to see what they will pay and reimbursed me as soon as they received payment.

His technique was created by him, and it should be taught! His reasoning for excision is simple, laser may not penetrate the tissue deeply enough (as it was in my case), thus leaving behind deeply embedded endo.

My new pain is really high up, under the rib cage on my right side. It radiates up to my shoulder and worsens with every breath I take. It is cyclical, coming day 2 of menstruation and disappearing about two weeks later. It is getting to be unbearable, and I am taking BCP's and pain meds until I can have another surgery. I would and probably will go back to Dr. Redwine in December. He is a saint and gave me my life back immediatley following the surgery!

I just want people to see the positive side of Dr. Redwine and his technique. There are so many postive experiences out there; if not, I would not have originally gone to him!

Thank you for reading!

PS: I posted this already, but does anyone know how long BCP's take to work for pain? I am going to call my doc today, but one month into it, and absolutley no relief!
