I am 15 and I have been experiencing extreme pelvic pain since I was 11, but was only diagnosed with Endometriosis in April 2004. I have it on my uterus and colon, so not only do I have the pelic pain but also pain in my bottom, and sometimes I can't walk, or stand because the pain is sooo bad. Anyway in attempting to treat it I've been put on Depo, which causes my periods to last longer, hair loss, and depression, and hot flashes. Then I had the surgery to see if it would help reduce the pain, it didn't. Now my doctor has me on birth control(the minipill POPS) to see if they would stop my period, but they have not. All of this time I've tried a variety of pain medications, none of which seem to be very effective. So today when I saw my GYN, she suggested Lupron. And I'm thinking maybe this is one of my last options. I really don't want to do it, because of side effect, but if I have to I will. I just want to know about anyone's success and failure with it. Any information is appreciated. Thanx!
