Hi, I think the emeotional part is the hardest to deal with, I had felt hopeless about this disease for a very long time, life became so routine with nothing that interested me anymore. I felt their was no way out & prayed a lot. I was desperate & did try something $7000.00 worth out of my pocket in 6 months but felt wonderful!!! -major herbs, amino acids...27 vitamins & 9 tonics a day-it worked great, but impossible to keep up forever! Now I have gone to another naturopathic dr. for the long term, who is taking it slower(& way cheaper) much more thorough/testing & looks at all medical records & has found out about things that the traditional medical route do not train for. http://www.naturopathic.org My dr. is in Laguna Niguel, CA if anyone is interested.

I think the balance of traditional drs & naturopathic drs working together could have amazing results with this disease especially!! but have never heard of this happening. The alternative is to see them both seperately on your own.

suggestion: since you would like to be a nurse, the other side of healthcare may be of interest-vitamins, herbs...homeopathic remedies, accupunture, natural progesterone cream, diet...these are all things that are working for a lot of women with this disease! this is not a quick fix-probably a life long plan. It takes time, but what is the alternative? stay on the bcp's forever, keep using the major drugs like Lupron...some drugs may work temporarily, but as I read & have experienced the endo comes back anyways, so what is the point? In my opinion it is best to build the immune system up to fight this disease, balance the hormones naturally, so the endo can be supressed-& if some of these changes start working, most likely will get better & better with time. I will keep you in my prayers, let us know if you find something that works for you. Lori http://www.theendoclub.com
