I know what you are going through I have been there. I also am a college student and missed a lot of classes last semester for being "out of commission." Well, it seems as though you have to take the first step. I suggest that you go to see an endometriosis specialist and find out what you are dealing with. I found my specialist by going online to my insurance website and finding a specialist that would be covered by my insurance. once you find a specialist you need to talk over your symtoms with him/her and find out what you can do next. The next step would probably be doing a laporoscopy which is a procedure where they diagnose you. They put you to sleep and make 2 incisions (1 in your belly button and the other in your public hairline) and they go in and find any growth or adhesions that are causing the pain and remove them. It is outpatient sugery and it's not too bad. Also I suggest trying to get it done before school starts back up in the fall. After the surgery you will need atleast a week to recoup. You may need to let your professors know about your health as well. Telling them can also save you a lot of grief. I know it is hard and it seems like it will never end but I can witness that things do get better. It just takes time. I hope what I said helps. If you have anymore questions feel free to e-mail me .
