Re: Pain getting worse w/ perimenopause

Thanks so much for your input. I have felt similar pain and other
sensations before but this time it seems worse. I'm just surprised
because of the common belief that menopause and pregnancy "cure" endo.
As I said, my symptoms are bad right now and I haven't had a period
since April. It's interesting too because my endo was not appreciably
different after I had my son 4 years ago. In fact, when my OB delivered
him by C-section, I asked her what it looked like in there and she said
that she could see a fair amount of endo tissue (Leave to an endo
patient to ask about that during childbirth but I figured that it was a
good opportunity to eyeball it). The vaginal endo did not change at all
during pregnancy. So, I don't quite understand the whole hormonal
relationship. Thanks for responding. It helps sometimes just to hear
from someone else who's in the same boat. Your symptoms sound very
similar to mine (sciatica-like pain, urinary pain, etc.). Sometimes my
upper thighs ache, too. I am due for a checkup so perhaps that will
shed more light on my situation soon. Thanks again. Take care.
