No, you have every right to go to this appt. alone. You are not being selfish in the least. Just tell your husband the same thing I tell my boyfriend, the truth. Sometimes I don't want him to go because I don't want him to know exactly how bad it is. A lot of times I put up this face where everything is ok. Just tell him it's nothing against him. I'm sure it isn't. Tell him you don't want to worry him, and let him know that you will tell him everything when you get home.

Sometimes I think all of us just need some time to ourselves. Even if it is just going to the doctor. Plus, when you're at the doctor alone you can talk openly about your fears. I know I don't want my boyfriend to know that I'm scared to death that the rest of my life is going to be lived in agony. Don't be afraid to tell your husband this. I'm sure he will understand. It's just something you need to do for yourself from the sounds of it :)

I hope that everything goes good at that Dr. office.
