Had lap, no endo found but I still have pain! From: Angie (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue Jun 22 16:21:33 2004
This is so frustrating. I had a lap done on June 3rd and my OBGYN didn't see any endo. I did have an adhesion running from the tip of my appendix to the other side of my abdomen and he said my uterus was red and looked like I had some kind of chronic infection. He cut the adhesion and put me on Doxycycline for the infection. I did feel better for the first couple of weeks, but I normally only have pain during ovulation or right before my period so I wasn't at either one of those times after surgery. The pain is back today, just like it was before. I asked him what the adhesion was from, he said it could be from the infection or from my prior gallbladder surgery. I told him I was surprised I had an infection because I didn't have any kind of fever or discharge, and no history of any kind of STD's. He said that sometimes bacteria can get into the vagina and it was just one of those things. I don't know what to do now. He put me on the mini pill so maybe that will help but if not, I am thinking about asking for a referral to a pain management clinic. I can't live like this! Thanks for listening...
