I don't know what to do anymoreFrom: Amanda (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun Jun 20 23:29:41 2004
I guess I should start from the beginning, but I'll sum it up because right now the thought of reliving it is just too much to handle. I was officially diagnosed in December, but before that I had been on Ortho-Novum for about two years. I was then sent to a specialist that put me on Seasonale which had side effects on me that I wouldn't wish upon anyone. I'm now on the Depo shot because to me Lupron is the last step before the hysterectomy which I don't even really want to try with all those side effects. Right now it seems like one week a month I am in extreme pain that takes longer and longer to go away. Not to mention I also get periodic kidney infections along with a whole lot of other stuff that I'm not really sure if it has anything to do with this. I'm to the point now where I feel that I've tried just about everything. I'm in an advanced stage and when I had surgery in Feb. they were hoping to give me 2 yrs before a total hysterectomy. If it is going to happen anyway I really am wondering why I'm even waiting. You see I'm 19 an in school. I missed so much school this last semester that if I can't pull up my grades this next semester I'll be suspended and may not have an option to go back. I can't take the semester off either or my insurance company will drop my coverage. I can't let that happen either. I am at a point right now where I don't want to have any regrets, but I've tried everything I could with no success. I just don't know what to do but I can't help but think that this would clear up a lot of health problems if I would just get it over with. Does anyone know if there are other health problems related to this? I'm sick all the time and with school coming up again am I really going to be able to take the pain killers that I need to get through the day and still get my grades up. I'm really not sure anymore. Please help
