BUT... if you are going to check it once a month? i believe all you have to do for iuds is just reach inside you and feel around your cervix for the string that hangs out of your cervix. it's not like a tampon string, but its there with not much hanging out. i am doing a research project for my university's on campus women's centre on contraceptives, and i read that you can check your iud is in place by just reaching inside towards your cervix and just feeling the string. call your doctor if you are unsure... i dont think you're supposed to pull on the string though;) good luck kasi At Fri, 18 Jun 2004, Abby wrote: > >I was reading the forum, and someone mentioned checking the IUD once a >month to make sure its in place.
