Re: A few questions HELP PLEASE!

I had LUNA with my first Lap. I had no pain for several years afterwards, but I don't know if it was because of the LUNA or just removing the Endo. Before my 3rd Lap, a doctor recommended another "nerve cutting" surgery that some doctors do called Presacral neurectomy. It is a more dangerous procedure in that, because of the location of the nerves being cut, there is a greater chance of the doctor making a mistake and cutting something else. There are also some women who have posted on this site that they have had sexual problems after having this procedure because of numbness in that area. And so many women had no pain relief with this procedure that I decided against it.

Make sure you know which procedure your doctor is talking about before you consent to it.

Also, I think if you were too intimidated by this doctor to be able to ask questions, you should find one that you are comfortable with. It is very important to be able to express your concerns and ask questions to be able to make good decisions for you. Personally, I've had better luck with nutritional type doctors when it comes to pain relief. Getting off dairy worked miracles for me about 7 years ago. Unfortunately, apparently, getting off dairy doesn't completely stop Endo, just maybe slows it down. But, I was ready to have another surgery when I my doctor suggested getting got off dairy. Just by doing that I was able to postpone it another 7 years, so it was worth it to me. I'm now trying getting off wheat, which for me, is MUCH harder since I'm a vegetarian and wheat is in EVERYTHING vegetarian. I'm also increasing "good oils" which seems to be helping.

I've also had fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue over the years, at least that's what my doctors and I think it was, since there is no real test for them. Changing my diet (and getting out of a stressful job) really helped those conditions as well. Still have allergies, but herbs help that as well.

I would be concerned about taken any drug long term because your liver does have to break down everything you take. Going the natural route seems like a much better alternative to me.

Good luck!
