Re: Anyone Tried Ultracet?

Hi Julie,

I know what you mean about the Advil. I don't have pain every day, but last year I was taking about 30-40 200 mg Advil per day on the three bad days of my period and people were warning me that I could drop dead of organ failure! Even with the Advil I was still in terrible pain on those days. What can you do. My pain situation lightened up after some very strange health stuff happened (in a nutshell, over a few months I gained a lot of bloody ascites, this made me unable to eat very much, I lost body weight, they drained 5 liters of ascites, and ever since I've been much better. Go figure.) I'm now taking 1200 mg doses of Advil alternating with either 2 Ultram or one Dilaudid (the latter left over from the hospitalization last year), and only have to do this on the three bad days of my period. So far. And the ascites has not come back, thank goodness.

Good luck with your surgery and pain management!
