I may suggest waiting until your vacation is over so you are 100% comfortable and not so stressed. I have had I.C. for 10 years and have had both tests. It was recommended to me that I take Motrin or another pain medication an hour prior to the procedure and throughout the day as needed. Neither time were these performed in an O.R., a doctor (hopefully a urogynecologist) will do this in his/her office. General anesthesia is always a risk and these procedures are so quick I would be suprised and cautious if a doctor used general. I would make sure you could rest the day after both procedures and you will be fine. Also being under general does not make a diagnosis more concrete or accurate.
