I was just telling someone else I am on the same course. I had my 1st lap on May 3rd and then started lupron with add back. (I tried the continuous birth control before doing the surgery.) I was very scared to go on Lupron as well because of all the things I had heard, but my doctor said the same (he has had success with this drug and the premarin helps wit the side effects of lupron.) I had my 1st injection of lupron about 2 1/2 weeks ago. The first few days after the shot I felt like I was coming down with a slight cold / flu (little fatigue, site of injection was sore for a few days.) Since last week I had been feeling sick to my stomach / not hungry, and a little dizzy, also lost weight due to not eating as much.) Since both the lupron and the premarin list this as side effects I am not overly concerned. It is a pain in the butt because I still have the pain of endo along with these symptoms, but was told the lupron would start helping with that by the time I needed the 2nd injection. I have not experienced any of the other side effects (hot flashes, insomnia) yet, but am not really sure if it just hasn't kicked in, or if I am lucky.Oh yeah... I am not usually prone to headaches at all and have had horrible headaches for the past week as well. At this point it is too soon to make a decision about the success, some days I kick myself for agreeing to take lupron and other days I realize there wasn't any other option offered (besides danazol / dannocrine- which I heard had worse side effects and was an older, less successful drug (this is just my opinion and my nursing research... I really resisted that one because of the possible side effects of growing excess body hair... I know this is pety, but thats just how I felt.) Anyways.... hope this helps.... don't get too wrapped up in what people say... I know it is hard and I want to hear everyone's experiences with this as well... I just try to keep in mind that all endo is different and people will always respond in different ways-take care KIM
