Re: Lupron with add back therapy??From: Rosa (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri May 28 19:43:22 2004
Hi Angie, I had my third lap in January and started Lupron 8 weeks ago. I was told to start the addback therapy when I started noticing symptoms... which, for me, was the 2nd day. Personally, I have not had a great experience with it. I am still in pain. I had bleeding which lasted for 3 weeks. I have been somewhat irritable too....which makes it a little difficult to talk to me cause I might just start yelling at any given moment. I've had some bone pain - not too bad but I did have a couple of bad episodes and just took tylenol for it. I did have some trouble sleeping, but I found that taking the addback in the morning, instead of at night, helped that. I was also having night sweats until I stopped taking it at night. Other than that, I've been bummed because I was hopeful that this would work...but for me, it hasn't. If you have any other questiosn about Lupron with addback, feel free to email me at endorosa@comcast.net. The one recommendation I do have is to not delay treatment of the endo. The dr. that is currently treating me is not the dr. that did my surgery. That dr. failed to treat the endo and as a result, the surgery failed to help me because the endo came right back. My new dr. said that if you wait, you give the endo a chance to come back. Good luck in your decision. Rosa
