I would get an exam anyway.. I heard that even if you're not sexually active and are 18 you should still get one.. The reason why they have to do an exam is to make sure you're not pregnant, and to make sure that you have no pre cervical lesions..

If you have endo then it will probably hurt a bit anway.. I suggest that before he puts the speculem in you find something to focus on.. Or bring your fav magazine or something with pics in it.. It can help to take your mind off of the pain :) I hope you get through this ok.. I would just highly suggest getting the exam because you want to make sure that you're healthy /hugs and GL..
